What’s the Same and What’s New in the Lenny Upgrade Pro
While the Upgrade Pro brings some exciting updates, both carriers share the same Lenny Lamb comfort and thoughtful design we already love.
Both fit newborn through toddler years beautifully, offering a soft structure, ergonomic support, and that signature wrap-meets-buckle comfort that makes Lenny Lamb carriers so special.
Similarities
- Lightweight design
- Same standard buckles
- Sliding rail for panel width (newborn–2+ years)
- Easy panel height adjusters
- Lenny Lamb woven fabrics
- Crossable shoulder straps
Unique to the Upgrade Pro
- Taller & longer waistband for added support
- Extra-long PFAs for nursing and adjustability
- Standard chest buckle instead of magnetic
- Lumbar/tummy pad
- Matching hood included
- Wider shoulder strap spacing for growing toddlers
Fit and Body Type Notes
If you have a very slim frame (think US size 00–0), you’ll likely get the best fit with the Lenny Light. It’s tailored slightly smaller and wraps closer to the body.
For example, my husband (men’s medium to large) gets an excellent fit in the Upgrade Pro, while I still gravitate toward the Lenny Light for my everyday wear.
So, if you want all the extra features and a more supportive waistband, go for the Lenny Upgrade Pro. If you prefer simplicity and packability, the Lenny Light folds down much smaller and remains one of my go-to options for quick everyday carrying.

Final Thoughts
Both the Lenny Light and Lenny Upgrade Pro are incredible carriers—it really just depends on your body type, your wearing preferences, and how you plan to use it.
If you want a lightweight, packable carrier that fits petite and slim frames beautifully, go with the Lenny Light. If you want added lumbar support, a taller waistband, and more adjustability, the Upgrade Pro is going to be a new favorite.
