Why Pyjamam has become one of my go to nursing pajamas
I have tried a lot of nursing sleepwear over the years, and most of it ends up being fine but not something I reach for consistently.
Pyjamam has been different for me.
I have been using their teddy bear pajama set since my youngest was around six months old, and it very quickly became one of those pieces I grab when I just want comfort, ease, and something that feels a little fun at the same time.
This is one of those designs that feels like it was actually created by someone who has nursed a baby at night.
The nursing access is actually well designed
The top uses a circular zip right over the breast instead of a straight zipper or pull aside panel. That might sound like a small thing, but in real life it makes a big difference.
What I love about it:
- You can unzip just the bottom, just the top, or open it all the way
- For night nursing or bedsharing, you can leave it unzipped and tucked inside the shirt
- Baby can access easily without you fighting fabric, snaps, or layers
- You stay covered everywhere else
For parents who nurse frequently overnight, especially those who bedshare or co sleep, this is one of the easiest setups I have used. It removes friction instead of adding it.
Why it works so well for night nursing and bedsharing
This is where Pyjamam really shines for me.
When you are nursing throughout the night, the last thing you want is to be fully waking yourself up to deal with zippers, snaps, or pulling fabric around. With this top, access is already there.
I have found that I can stay much more relaxed during night feeds, and baby can latch easily without me fully sitting up or turning on lights. That alone has made a difference in how rested I feel.
Comfort, warmth, and fit
The set I have is on the warmer side, which I personally love. It feels cozy without feeling stiff or restrictive.
Some things worth noting:
- The fabric feels soft and comfortable against sensitive postpartum skin
- The fit is forgiving and has room for postpartum bodies and even pregnancy
- I did not feel squeezed or constrained around my belly
- I have not noticed stretching out or loss of shape over time
- The thumb holes are a small detail, but they really do help keep everything in place and warm
They also offer a lighter, simpler version if you run warmer or prefer less insulation. There is also a more plain version available, and footies are coming soon as well, which I know will be exciting for a lot of parents.
Yes, I have worn it during the day too
This might sound silly, but I think it is genuinely cute.
I have worn the top during the day a few times, especially in the mornings or evenings, and I never felt like I was obviously wearing pajamas. It feels playful and cozy in a way that still feels put together.
I also have worn it while babywearing to nurse, especially early in the morning or later in the evening. While babywearing is not the intended use, the easy access and coverage made it really convenient in those in between moments, especially while traveling or staying in hotels.
Who I think Pyjamam is best for
This is one I would especially recommend if you are:
- Pregnant and planning to breastfeed
- Newly postpartum and nursing frequently
- Bedsharing or co sleeping
- Night nursing often
- Looking for warmth without bulky layers
- Wanting something functional but still fun and cute
If you value ease, comfort, and thoughtful design over trendy sleepwear that looks good but does not function well, this is a really solid option.
Final thoughts
Pyjamam is easily one of my top nursing pajama picks. Not because it is flashy or complicated, but because it clearly understands the reality of nursing parents.
It makes nighttime feeds easier. It keeps you warm and covered. And it feels good to wear.
That combination is hard to find, and it is why this set stays in my regular rotation.
